No More Ugly Sweaters: Try These Christmas Men’s Outfits Instead
Christmas men’s outfits don’t have to be complicated. Every year, I lean on a few simple outfits that get into the Christmas spirit while staying put-together.
Green is my favorite color, and it’s a perfect color for men this season. It helps you get into the Spirit with a color most feel comfortable wearing and probably already have in their wardrobe.

Office Christmas Party

Why This Outfit Works: Green is the easiest Christmas color to pull off for men. Everyone has at least one green piece in their wardrobe, and it’s a color that looks good on almost everyone.
Where I’d Wear It:
- Christmas Eve
- Dinner at a restaurant
- Semi-dressy events
Styling Tips & Mistakes to Avoid
- Skip bold patterns — the color is already doing the work.
- If you are a shorter guy like me then make sure the sweater isn’t too long.

- Casual Christmas morning or afternoon
- Gift exchange with friends (What I actually used it for)
- Casual family gathering
Styling Tips & Mistakes to Avoid

- Keep the tee as clean as possible or button up the shirt.
- Roll the sleeves for a more relaxed vibe
Work Christmas Lunch

Why This Outfit Works: You start with a business casual base of an Oxford shirt, navy pants, and black loafers. Then you add a clean, textured sweater like a cable-knit.

- Christmas dinner
- Church or family photos
Styling Tips & Mistakes to Avoid
- Layer a button-down underneath for structure

What should you wear on Christmas?
First of all, wear whatever you like and whatever makes you comfortable. Depending on the setting, you may go for a more colorful outfit, but you can still add color with a nice sweater while keeping the rest of the look relatively formal. If it’s a casual event, jeans can be a good option. Finally, always make sure to check the weather.
