You don’t need a ton of items in your wardrobe—having too many usually just makes things more complicated. A few menswear essentials are enough to build all the office outfits a man needs.
This post focuses on the outfits. If you want to see the 13 items I use to create countless office looks, you can check them out here: A Look Inside My Business Casual Capsule Wardrobe (With Real Photos)

Safe Office Outfit
This is by far one of the most common office outfits out there—I’ve seen it countless times. A popular variation is swapping in brown loafers. The reason it’s repeated so often is simple: you can never go wrong with this look when you need a business casual outfit.
Oxford Shirt | Wool Pants | Leather Bag | Belt | Loafers
Womenswear Inspo
I call this outfit “womenswear inspo” because I borrowed the combination from a women’s office outfit I saw on Pinterest, and I’m glad it works just as well for men too.
Cardigan | Oxford Shirt | Chinos | Loafers
Olive Green Business Casual Style
Olive green is slowly becoming one of my favorite colors. It looks good on everyone I see wearing it, and for this outfit I styled a button-down shirt with navy pants and black loafers—an office look you won’t see on just anyone.
Here’s how it looks in real life:
Olive Green Button-Down | Navy Pants | Socks | Loafers
Gen Z Business Casual
I named this outfit Gen Z because after seeing myself in it, it gave me Gen Z vibes. Still, it’s a look anyone can pull off—easy to wear and built around menswear essentials. You can also wear it comfortably outside the office.
Here’s how it looks on me:
Cardigan | Oxford Shirt | Beige Chinos | White Sneakers

Early Fall Smart Outfit
We’re bringing back the olive green shirt and pairing it with beige chinos for an outfit that feels like early fall and works perfectly for the office.
Olive Green Button-Down | Bag | Belt | Pants | Loafers
Comfortable Office Outfit
If you buy the right pieces, this can be one of the most comfortable and put-together combinations in your wardrobe. An Oxford shirt is breathable, chinos usually have a decent stretch, and the right pair of white leather sneakers can carry you through 10,000+ steps on your busiest days.
Crewneck Sweater | Oxford Shirt | Gray Chinos | White Sneakers
Full Business Outfit
This is probably the most formal outfit of the nine—or at least that’s the impression I got when I tried it on.
Cardigan | Oxford Shirt | Wool Pants | Socks | Loafers
Casual Work Outfit
This is a great outfit for a comfortable day at the office, and it’s another example of how you can mix olive green with almost anything and still look good.
Olive Green Button-Down | Gray Chinos | Belt | White Sneakers | Workbag
