10 Linen Old Money Outfits For Men

Look 1: Green Bear Outfit

A polo is a classic old money style staple, especially if it’s from Ralph Lauren. I decided to change things up a little bit by using a green polo from a unique collection from the brand. To keep it as old money style as possible I kept the other items into what’s considered textbook “old money style”.

Look 2: Classic Old Money Style

This is a classic old money style outfit, which it’s ironic if you think “old money” is already classic style. Here both the shirt and white pants are made of 100% linen. It’s an outfit you can easily take from the office to the beach.

Look 3: Navy Polo

Navy is a classic color in menswear and also in the “old money style”. The difference between the style and what most guys tend to use comes down to fabrics and the overall fit of the item. Even though this blog post is all about linen, the shirt is made out of cotton and the pants are made out of high quality linen from Suit Supply.

Look 4: All-White Old Money Style

This is an outfit I saw on many pins that resemble an older, almost vintage version of the old money style. The feeling that it gives me is a type of Spanish old money style.

Look 5: Business Casual

This is probably the most “business” version of the 10 outfits. The shirt is made of 100% linen and the pants are a cotton-linen blend that adds structure to the outfit and can help you avoid wrinkles a little bit.

A white polo is another old money staple that you’ll find in many outfits across Pinterest(including mine). It’s a clean piece of clothing that’s easy to mix and match and never goes out of style.

Old money is all about classic menswear and I took a big risk here by including a pair of brown leather sneakers. This is an outfit that might fall outside the style precisely because of the sneakers. With that in mind the rest of the outfit both the shirt and pants are made of 100% linen and the accessories accentuate the style.

Look 9: Sweater Polo

Any list of old money outfit ideas will almost certainly include sweater polo shirts and this one is not the exception. I decided to keep it fairly neutral because the polo is not made out of linen and finding pants in another color that match the shirt was almost impossible.

Look 10: Knit Polo Outfit

For this sweater polo outfit I decided to give it a little bit more color by including a pair of dark brown suede loafers and create a bigger contrast. With a monochromatic outfit like this one a lot of the attention goes to the shoes so make sure you get a nice pair if you are using this idea.

Styling Linen and Finding Clothing

It’s difficult to find linen pieces that check all my boxes, that’s why after much thought one of my best pieces of advice is to go for really high quality and proven essentials when it comes to linen. The piece should last you several years.

Keep in mind that with linen you won’t see many patterns and the pieces are almost the same year after year.
